When I found my nanny job at the beginning of the summer, I knew that the family was going on a two week long vacation at the end of the summer. It always seemed so far away and like I would never get there. On hard days, it was all that got me through. There were some days I honestly thought I would kill myself or the kids before we made it to vacation. But alas, it's here. Yesterday was glorious. I caught up on all the sleep that those three kids have taken from me during my 50 hours/week with them. I slept most of the day and when I wasn't sleeping I was watching Gossip Girl. I also was productive and organized closets and woah, cleaned out my entire mac. Moved everything onto my hard drive and deleted my computer. It runs so quickly now! It was a heavenly, heavenly day.
Today....i'm bored out of my mind.
I was looking forward to this break all summer and I am laughing that I wish my nanny kids were with me so I could go to Six Flags and not look like a loser, hah!
I caught up on all my shows and have been marathon watching Gossip Girl. Now I think my body is a permanent part of the couch.
I'm not sure what I was expecting when I google image searched "couch woman" but I like this a lot.
Even though I am pretty freaking bored, the timing of this vacation couldn't have been better. I found out this morning my eye has stopped making tears! I joked with my doctor that I didn't know it was possible for that to happen since I cry multiple times a week but he didn't think it was funny at all. Oh well. But no worries, with some rest and special eye drops, my tear count will be excellent by next week. Another reason this vacation was timed well, Mark's work takes some employees to Rethoboth Beach once a month for the weekend and this month I get to go with since I am not working! I am taking the polaroid camera my sister gave us for our wedding present and I can't wait to share our mini-vacation with you guys.
And the main point of this blog post, I wanted to apologize for being a little MIA lately and will probably be MIA for the next week or so. I have a few really big and exciting projects for this space coming up. I have been working my lil bum off planning and I am so excited to finally share what I have been doing! Thanks for sticking around, it will pay off very soon!
Hey! My name is Riley Jo. I have been living off Dr. pepper and a prayer since 1991. My life motto is one that Joey Gladstone taught me on Full House... make fun of yourself before anyone else has a chance to do it first! That's my goal here. Thanks for stopping by!
