tea party

Saturday was the first day that I have felt the cold, brisk air of fall and I could not have been happier. I love the cold weather! Summer and I, we just don't get along. It was the perfect atmosphere for a cozy tea party at Dear Lizzie in Highland, UT.

Myself, Emily, Leah, Katherine, Mila, and Kayla all attended the lovely lil get together. Leah talks about this in her blog post about the party, but it was really weird how we all kind of felt like we had known each other for a long time? I thought it might have been awkward, I thought I would maybe stay a half hour at most, but I was so sad that I had to leave to do errands after two hours. We just talked and talked and talked and talked and I laughed a lot.

I know a lot of people make fun of me for this blog thing and that's ok! I make fun of myself for it quite a bit, actually. However it is my hobby! I really enjoy it and I really love the people I meet and the experiences I have gained from this lil blog. So I will keep on keepin on. Now, for some crappy pictures. I learned on Saturday that I need to invest in a nice camera. One day!

Funny story about the tea...it was pretty clear that none of us are avid tea drinkers. I chose this herbal cucumber tea....and let's just say not only did it taste nothing like cucumbers, but I accidentally tore open the bag and didn't realize it until my tea looked like this:

Haha! It was disgusting. Unfortunately that was only half the struggle of the tea that afternoon. We all had a good laugh about it, though!

Thanks to these lovely ladies for a great afternoon!

  1. I wish I could have come to this! It was my best friend's wedding that day. Also, I was really self-concious about never drinking tea before, so I'm glad to hear that you split open your bag and all of you had no clue what you were doing as well. This brings comfort to me. Ok. Well. Thanks for reading this comment. Bye.

  2. Ugh right. I hate summer as well. So glad. Also, I randomly know a lot about tea so I should just like, throw us a normal tea party at my house or something, and we can drink tea that is actually good (and caffeine free) haha.

  4. Oh!! and tea just takes getting used to and the right sweetener. When you find the kinds you like you'll be addicted!
